Behind every glamorous celebrity there is a team of seriously talented individuals working their magic by making them flawless (and I’m not talking about Photoshop).
Emma Walsh is one of those people. Emma is a hot name in the world of celebrities and a very sought after Beauty Therapist. With a huge list of celebrity clients such as Kate Moss, Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga, Kiera Knightly and Daniel Craig. Just to name a few.
Emma is a true inspiration and has worked extremely hard to gain her reputation. While studying at the London College of Beauty, at the tender age if only 17 years old, Emma opened her own nail bar in Toni & Guy in Mayfair. The seed was sown and the Emma Walsh empire was born.
We were very pleased that Emma could squeeze us in between top secret photoshoots to do a short interview about her must haves, seasonal colours and more.
What is your favourite nailcare brand? “Leighton Denny expert nails have to be my favourit and not only because I am the ambassador. I have to have complete confidence and I get that with all Leighton Denny products.”
What is your favourite nail colour and what colours should we be wearing for Spring? “My favorite colour for nails would have to be a blood red an influence I picked up from my mother. The early spring colours this year are likely to be very pastel and nude, these will always work well with every outfit.”
What is your must have for your kit? “It has to be nail oil, Solar oil or slick tips”
What is your favorite skincare? “Decleor. I have been using it for many years and I love the oils. People are always afraid to use oil on their skin. I have combination skin and it can be very oily at times, and I find that the oils help. I also use Beauty Lab as that contains a glycolic which is also very good for my combination skin. I suffered very badly with acne as a child and I find that the glycolic helps with my scarring.”
What is your favorite treatment to have? “I love to have a massage and have my nails painted.
Do you have any secret tips? “I don't have secret tips because I give them away all the time! But a really good one is topcoat and make sure you brush across the tip of your nail colour, making it last a lot longer. Another tip is to apply a top coat ontop of your colour every other day, this will help the colour last longer and look fresh”.
What is the best part about your job? “I have the best job in the world! I go to work everyday excited and looking forward to the people I'm going to be working with. It's great to see the finished product on the front cover of a magazine or on TV. Even a billboard always makes me smile. It's always fun and creative… I'm the lucky one.”
